This Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between First Key Rentals ("Owner") and the renter identified in the reservation ("Renter") for the vehicle described in the booking confirmation. By taking possession of the vehicle, Renter accepts this Agreement.
1. Rental period
The rental begins at the scheduled pickup time and ends when the vehicle is returned to the designated location, inspected, and accepted by our staff. Late returns may incur additional daily charges at the prevailing rate plus a late fee.
2. Renter qualifications
- Valid driver license held for the minimum period required by law
- Minimum age as specified for the vehicle class booked
- Valid payment method on file
- Proof of identity and insurance if requested at pickup
3. Use of vehicle
The vehicle may be used only:
- By drivers listed on the rental and approved at check-in
- On paved public roads within the United States unless otherwise authorized
- For lawful personal or business transportation
Prohibited uses include, without limitation:
- Subleasing or lending the vehicle to unauthorized drivers
- Racing, towing, or off-road use unless explicitly permitted
- Transporting hazardous materials or illegal substances
- Operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs
4. Condition and fuel
The vehicle is provided with a documented fuel level and cleanliness standard. Renter must return the vehicle in the same general condition, subject to normal wear. Renter is responsible for fuel replacement or refueling charges if returned below the pickup level.
5. Damage and loss
Renter is responsible for damage to or loss of the vehicle, including theft, vandalism, and interior damage, regardless of fault, except to the extent covered by optional protection products purchased at booking or required insurance. A damage assessment may be performed at return. Renter must report accidents, theft, or damage immediately to local authorities and to First Key Rentals.
6. Traffic violations and tolls
Renter is responsible for all parking tickets, traffic citations, toll charges, and administrative fees incurred during the rental period, plus any processing fees permitted by law.
7. Optional extras
GPS units, child seats, additional drivers, and other extras selected during booking are subject to availability and the fees shown at checkout.
8. Insurance
Renter is responsible for verifying personal auto insurance coverage or purchasing applicable protection offered at checkout. Minimum liability coverage requirements apply under Florida law. Owner does not provide personal injury protection for Renter beyond what is required by applicable statute and the products selected.
9. Breakdown and roadside assistance
Contact us immediately at +1 (954) 555-0100 for breakdowns or accidents. Unauthorized repairs may not be reimbursed without prior approval.
10. Repossession
Owner may repossess the vehicle without notice if Renter breaches this Agreement, fails to return the vehicle on time, or uses the vehicle unlawfully.
11. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Venue for disputes shall be in Broward County, Florida.
12. Entire agreement
This Agreement, together with the online reservation, Terms of Service, and pickup inspection form, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the rental.
